Christmas is just around the corner!

Today, I read a post written by my friend Francois and got thinking about Christmas. When I left for China, I hadn’t planned on returning home for Christmas, but my family missed me enough to fork out enough money to buy me a ticket home. I’m so thankful that I’m going to get to see them and spend a couple weeks vacationing with them this year. I didn’t realize I would appreciate that opportunity as much as I do. The fact is that I really do miss them— especially more than I regularly admit. Just over a month left before I head home. I’ve got some heavy studying to do if I want to make my time spent here worthwhile.

There’s not too many things I can say that I need at this time in my life. I’ve been really, really blessed. I have all that I need and more and a family that’s always ready to help the moment I ask, which to many people is too good to be true. Thanks giving in Ontario is over and done, but today I realize how easily I take for granted the things that I have, the people in my life and the time I waste on useless things.

To my family, I do miss you. I’m looking forward to seeing you this Christmas! Ang; we’ve got some practicing to do for the shows while I’m home!
